Mr. Telfer was named Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Company in November 2006 and Chairman of the World Gold Council in December 2009. Prior to then, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company since March 2005, and prior to that, he was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Wheaton River Minerals Ltd.
since September 2001. Mr. Telfer has more than 25 years of expertise in the precious metals industry. He has served on the boards of directors and/or as officers of many Canadian and international corporations. Mr. Telfer holds a Chartered Accountant designation.
