Ian Taylor became the youngest Irishman to reach the summit of the globe on May 23, 2008. Ian and a buddy set out in June 2007 to climb four summits on four continents in a year, with Mount Everest as the final destination. He has only climbed one peak above 5,000 meters before June 2007.
Ian also included a charitable component, earning €70,000 with Irish charity Fields of Life to help build the Mt. Everest primary school in Uganda. Ian battled his own anxieties, demons, and the mountains from + 40c to – 40c.
