The first woman to be the chief flight director at NASA together with being an American mechanical engineer. In that position Ridings is responsible for 32 flight directors overseeing human missions. She works at the Johnson Space Center in Houston Texas. After graduating from Texas A&M University where she studied mechanical engineering Ridings started working at NASA in 1998.
