H.E.R. Biography

Gabriella Wilson is a Grammy Award-winning R&B singer-songwriter known by her stage name, H.E.R. (pronounced her, an abbreviation for Having Everything Revealed). Wilson rose to prominence before becoming known as H.E.R. after appearing on Radio Disney's Next Big Thing in 2009. At the age of 14, she signed with RCA Records and released the single Something to Prove under her actual name in 2014. Wilson resurfaced in 2017 under the moniker H.E.R., releasing her first EP H.E.R. Volume 1. H.E.R. Volume 2 (2017), The B Sides (2017), I Used to Know Her: The Prelude (2018), and I Used to Know Her: Part 2 (2018) were her subsequent EPs (2018). H.E.R., a compilation album featuring songs from the singer's first two EPs as well as six new songs, was released in October 2017. H.E.R. was nominated for five Grammy Awards in 2019, winning Best R&B Performance and Best R&B Album at the 61st Annual Grammy Awards. The singer was nominated for five additional Grammy Awards in 2019, including Album, Record, and Song of the Year for her compilation album I Used to Know Her and the single Hard Place, respectively, at the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards. Wilson launched the I Used to Know H.E.R. Tour on September 12, 2018, in support of her EP series I Used to Know Her: The Prelude and I Used to Know Her: Part 2. I Used to Know Her, her second compilation album, was published on August 30, 2019. On September 28 of the same year, she performed as one of the headliners at the 2019 Global Citizen Festival in Central Park, New York. In 2021, she sang America the Beautiful during Super Bowl LV.
