Since 2009, Henning Kagermann has served as the President of the ACAtech - National Academy of Science and Engineering. The Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy, as well as the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, named Henning Kagermann as Global Representative and Advisor of the Plattform Industrie 4.0 in 2017.
He is the chair of the Steering Committee of the German government's Innovation Dialogue with the scientific and commercial community. He plays a major role in the promotion of strategic projects such as Industrie 4.0 and web-based service developments as a member of the German Federal Government's HighTech Forum and a previous member of the Industry-Science Research Alliance.
