She has established a worldwide team responsible for the safety and security of Google's networks, systems, and applications as Manager of Information Security. The Google Security Team, which now numbers in the hundreds, is involved in every aspect of the company, including new product launches, mergers and acquisitions, security infrastructure development, security threat response, and evangelizing. She has a strong experience in systems and network administration, with a focus on practical security, and has helped to create and protect some of the world's largest web information system infrastructure. She currently spends her time primarily defending Google's computer infrastructure and collaborating with both the Google Incident Response Team and outside groups to address some of the industry's most difficult security problems.
