Dr. Hassan A. Tetteh has established himself as a renowned thoracic surgeon and retired U.S. Navy Captain who combines his medical expertise with health-policy innovation and best-selling authorship. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he survived childhood meningitis before using his near-death experience to dedicate his life to healing through mind-body-spirit integration which he showcases in his best-selling book The Art of Human Care and his keynotes.
Dr. Tetteh earned his B.S. from SUNY Plattsburgh before obtaining his M.D. from SUNY Downstate followed by thoracic surgery fellowships at the University of Minnesota and Brigham & Women’s Hospital at Harvard. Dr. Tetteh pursued multiple academic degrees including an M.P.A. from Harvard Kennedy School and an M.B.A. from Johns Hopkins Carey Business School and an M.S. in National Security Strategy with AI focus from the National War College to demonstrate his unique combination of clinical and policy and technological expertise.
