Hansel Bauman is the campus architect for Gallaudet University where he has served as adjunct faculty and founding partner of Hansel Bauman Architect + Planner. A recognized leader in the field of deaf space architecture he collaborated with Gallaudet’s Department of ASL and Deaf Studies to establish the DeafSpace Project in 2006 exploring the socio-spatial dynamics of deaf experiences.
