Halina Frydman is a professor of statistics and operations research at New York University's Stern School of Business. Markov processes and survival analysis are two of Professor Frydman's main research interests. Professor Frydman's most recent research focuses on using survival analysis and Markov chains to simulate unemployment and employment dynamics, as well as the movement of corporate credit ratings.
Professor Frydman has papers in the Journal of the American Statistical Association, The Annals of Applied Probability, Biometrika, Biometrics, Journal of the Royal Statistical Society, and The Journal of Finance, among others. She teaches statistics and stochastic processes courses.
