Hal Sirkin is a senior partner at The Boston Consulting Group's (BCG) Chicago office and a specialist in globalization, operations, innovation, and change management. He is also the primary author of BCG's ongoing research on "reshoring" - the rising trend of manufacturing returning to the United States from China and other nations.
Because of the global economics of production, he and his coauthors expect a “manufacturing renaissance” in the United States beginning around 2015. Hal was formerly the worldwide chief of BCG's Operations practice, which included manufacturing, procurement, supply chain management, asset productivity, and cost reduction. He was formerly the worldwide chief of the firm's Information Technology and E-Commerce practices.
