Waldorf began his business career at a young age. He founded a successful multinational software and consulting company at the age of thirteen. Families would acquire a computer and say, "Oh, I suppose Greg Waldorf knows a lot about how to set up a computer," as Waldorf stated to the Wall Street Journal in February 2007, and I was the kid in the neighborhood who knew that. His mother enrolled him in a programming class, but he was so far ahead of the curve that he ended up teaching it. He earned his MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business after obtaining his BA from UCLA. Waldorf is still active at Stanford, where he serves on the Board of Overseers of the Hoover Institution and was a founding member of the Stanford Graduate School of Business Management Board.
