She founded a modest boutique in the Illinois hamlet of Long Grove in 1979. By 1981, two big shopping malls sought to test the waters by opening a one-of-a-kind store, despite the fact that they weren't sure they'd make any money. The rest, as they say, is history!!!! Gloria Jean's company was sold in 1993.
There are now over 1000 shops throughout the world. She was also one of the first females to break through the glass ceiling. People are ecstatic to meet her and learn about the honest, hardworking person and what it took to get there as she relates her success story.
