Chef Giorgio Rapicavoli had already led a few respected restaurants in his hometown of Miami, Florida; rubbed elbows with world-famous chefs; was hailed as the city's first winner of Food Network's Chopped, and owned, operated, and killed it at the pop-up, Eating House, before turning it into a permanent fixture on the 305's evolving culinary scene by the time he was 28.
Rapicavoli is hotter than ever, having opened a second popular restaurant, Taperia Raca, in the Magic City's growing MiMo sector and winning Chopped Champions. Rapicavoli looked destined to be a chef since he was a kid, spending hours watching cooking shows instead of cartoons. Rapicavoli was born and reared in Miami, Florida, to an Italian mother and an Argentine father.
