Tbilisi State University awarded Giorgi Pertaia a Diploma in Finance and Western Illinois University awarded him an MBA. He is now employed as the Georgian National Investment Agency's First Deputy Director. Mr. Pertaia is in charge of FDI facilitation in Georgia, as well as the creation of an investment portfolio of government-sponsored projects and the promotion of Georgia's investment climate.
He formerly served as Georgia's Business Ombudsman, acting as a liaison between the government, tax payers, and enterprises. Mr. Pertaia has also served as the Prime Minister of Georgia's Chief Advisor, consulting on issues of private sector safety.
