Gianpaolo Barozzi is a Senior Director at Cisco Human Resources, where he oversees the Digitalization Office and the Adaptive Talent Marketplace project in the newly established Leadership & Team Intelligence division. At Cisco, he is a thought leader in the design and development of new worker experiences and solutions in a variety of HR domains. He has extensive expertise in Talent Management and L&D, having held a variety of roles and responsibilities such as worldwide leadership for management development, innovation enablement, and career development, EMEA Head of L&D, and global leadership for Sales L&D. His interest is redefining the future of work in businesses – how talent is discovered, leveraged, allocated, and engaged, as well as how work is structured, assessed, and rewarded – and the impact on people, HR, and eventually society. His acknowledged talents are curiosity, inventiveness, agility, and the capacity to make invention happen. Gianpaolo is located in Milan, Italy, and has a degree in Physics. He is not an HR professional by birth. Prior to moving into human resources, he headed R&D teams in optical transmission systems at Cisco and Pirelli, and he was a visiting researcher at the French CNRS. During that time, Gianpaolo published over 40 technical articles and received 7 international patents.
