Gerald McRaney is an American film and television actor best known for his starring roles in Simon & Simon Major Dad and Promised Land. He was a series regular on the first season of Jericho and the final season of Deadwood.
McRaney starred in a recurring role as main antagonist Mason Wood in season eight of Castle.McRaney's first film role was the lead in Night of Bloody Horror. He acted in an episode of Dukes of Hazard in 1979 going on to play a receptionist on two episodes of The Rockford Files and a war veteran in Hawaii Five-O.
