He was later hired as the Director of Security and Foreign Affairs by ARCO International, an oil business. He has visited every country in the globe and is well-versed in topics concerning the Middle East, the former Soviet Union, China, Africa, Asia, terrorism, international trade, and global concerns. Blaine is a seasoned public speaker who has performed in front of thousands of people. He has spoken at the International Association of Chiefs of Police, the International Security Managers Association, and a number of other security organizations. He talked to numerous customer executive groups from the law enforcement, intelligence, and judicial communities in his position as an Industry Marketing Consultant for IBM. He retired in 2003 and currently lives in Colorado with his more than fifty-year-old wife.
