George Ranalli, FAIA, is a New York-based American architect. Mr. Ranalli, a graduate of Pratt Institute ('72 B.Arch.) and Harvard Graduate School of Design ('74 M.Arch. ), is recognized for his creative, cogent, and beautiful design at all scales that are sensitive to history and context. He has contributed literary and architecture projects to a variety of media since 1977. Galleries and museums all around the world have seen and collected his work. For the past 40 years, Mr. Ranalli has given public lectures on a wide range of architecture and art themes. In Situ: George Ranalli Works & Projects (2015), published by Oscar Riera Ojeda Publications, is his sixth monograph. He has taught at a number of prestigious institutions, including Yale University, where he was a professor of architectural design and visual studies for 23 years and was also a member of the Morse College fellowship. He has also been a visiting professor at the Rhode Island School of Design, University of Chicago Circle Campus, Cooper Union. George Ranalli has a wide body of work spanning from civic and institutional buildings to residential and industrial design, and he has improved the art of architecture via methodical research and instructional leadership throughout the course of his 40-year career.
