George Lois is a prominent advertising executive and designer who is better remembered for a series of Esquire magazine covers he designed between 1962 and 1972. (some of which were featured in an exhibit at the Museum of Modern Art in 2008).
He originated the term "I Want My MTV!" and, with Lean Cuisine, launched a new gourmet frozen foods marketing category. He's also created memorable advertisements for brands including Jiffy Lube, USA Today, and Tommy Hilfiger. In addition to George, Be Careful, $ellebrity, and Iconic America, he has written nine books about advertising and design.
