Geoffrey Stone is the Edward H. Levi Distinguished Service Professor of Law at University of Chicago where he was provost from 1993 to 2002 and law school dean from 1987 to 1993. Stone authored or co-authored many books on constitutional law including Perilous Times: Free Speech in Wartime which received eight national book awards and Sex and the Constitution.
In 2013 he served on the Review Group on Intelligence and Communications Technologies appointed by President Obama to evaluate the NSA’s surveillance programs.
