Geoff Duncan is an American politician, businessman, and public speaker from Georgia. A Republican, he served as the 12th Lieutenant Governor of Georgia from 2019 to 2023 and was a member of the Georgia House of Representatives from 2013 to 2017, representing District 26. Before politics, Duncan played professional baseball with the Florida Marlins minor league system for six years. He reached Triple-A as a relief pitcher until a shoulder injury ended his career in 2000. He became a successful entrepreneur, founding a marketing company and later serving as CEO of Wellview Health, a healthcare technology firm.
He championed bipartisan initiatives, including Georgia's Hate Crimes Law and repealing the state's Citizen's Arrest Law, and launched the Partnership for Inclusive Innovation to position Georgia as a technology hub. He gained national attention for criticizing Donald Trump's claims of election fraud following the 2020 presidential election, becoming a prominent "Never Trump" voice within the Republican Party.
