Gene Stupnitsky is an American film and television writer and director. He often collaborates with writer and producer Lee Eisenberg. He is known for his work on NBC comedy series The Office of which he was a writer from seasons 2 to 6.He has around 15 episode credits as a writer from his work on The Office.

He co-directed an episode of the fifth season titled Michael Scott Paper Company with Eisenberg in 2009. Stupnitsky and Lee Eisenberg created and executive produced a show for HBO called Hello Ladies with Stephen Merchant. The show aired for one season in from 2013 to 2014.
