Crystal Gayle is an award-winning country music vocalist from the United States. She had 20 number one country singles during the 1970s and 1980s (18 on Billboard and 2 on Cashbox) and six albums certified Gold by the RIAA. She is best known for her 1977 country-pop crossover smash song, Don't It Make My Brown Eyes Blue.
With her 1977 album, We Must Believe in Magic, Crystal Gayle became the first female artist in country music history to achieve Platinum sales. She was also named one of the 50 most beautiful individuals in the world by People Magazine in 1983, thanks to her practically floor-length hair.
