Gary Mendell is founder and CEO of Shatterproof an organization committed to protecting children from addiction to alcohol or other drugs and ending the stigma and suffering of those affected by this disease. He founded Shatterproof to honor his son Brian who lost his battle with addiction in 2011.
Prior to Shatterproof Mendell founded and was CEO of HEI Hotels & Resorts. Prior to HEI he was president of Starwood Lodging Trust and a member of its board of trustees.
