Gary Coleman is best known for playing Arnold Jackson on Diff'rent Strokes, a US sitcom that aired on NBC from 1978 to 1985 before moving to ABC. Whatcha talkin' 'bout, Willis? was his catchphrase, which he delivered to his character's elder brother Willis Jackson (Todd Bridges).
Coleman was born with a congenital kidney ailment that caused nephritis (an autoimmune breakdown of the kidney) at a young age, stunting his growth and giving him a short height (4' 8) which became his most noticeable characteristic.
