Gal Raz, an Associate Professor of Business Administration, teaches Operations at Darden. His research focuses on supply chain strategy, including supply chain pricing and contracts, as well as supply chain management's public policy implications, such as sustainability and health care. His work has appeared in scholarly magazines such as Management Science and Production and Operations Management.
He referees Management Science, Operations Research, Manufacturing and Service Operations Management (M&SOM), and Production and Operations Management (POM). He was the president of the Institute of Operations Research and Management Science's (INFORMS) Junior Faculty Interest Group (JFIG) from 2007 to 2009, and he won the INFORMS Moving Spirit Service Award in 2009 for his efforts with JFIG.
