Gajendra Verma grew up believing that if emotions had any sound, it will be termed music. Born in the tiny town of Sirsa, Haryana. He comes from a musical family, therefore music is instilled in him. Surender Verma, Gajendra's father, was a Ph.D. in Hindi literature, lyricist, writer, teacher, and performer. His mother, Chand Verma, is a housewife. Gajendra's three older siblings have a sensitive ear and a warm heart for music. Gajendra began performing music on stage at the age of three. Despite the fact that he had no formal musical instruction, his father and brother were his musical forefathers. Who taught him the finer points of singing and the craft of music? Gajendra's family relocated to Jaipur when he was 11 years old, and he attended the Army School Jaipur. He appeared in several theatrical productions and won numerous music competitions. This fueled his enthusiasm for the world of music. He was exposed to several types of music and was always interested in learning more about global music. His ambition to sail high on musical wings led him to Mumbai. He subsequently completed a two-year Sound Engineering program at Mumbai's prestigious SAE institution. Following the completion of the training, he has been teaching at SAE and following his ambition of being a musician in the dreamland. Throughout his journey, he has had his fair share of bittersweet experiences in the competitive world of music, where every new melody is as valuable as a pearl in a seashell. Gajendra's song "Emptiness," also known as "Tune mere jaana," was released on the internet with a fictitious sympathetic tale of a dying IIT student called Rohan Rathod and was immediately liked by 3 million music fans throughout the country. Gajendra later filed a case, claiming ownership of the music. This became huge news, and the Hindusthan Times in Delhi reported it. Despite this, the musician's passion was not dampened; he created numerous jingles and songs and is preparing to release his album with seven new songs in the future year, including "Emptiness." Gajendra explored with many musical styles on this album, ranging from western to soft pop, not to mention lighthearted Punjabi folk. Gajendra wrote, orchestrated, and performed all seven songs. Gajendra feels there is much more he has to learn about all styles and genres of music from around the world. Listening to good music, as Lata Mangeshkar famously said, is also a good riyaaz!
