Gabrielle may be seen in The CW's new highly praised musical comedy, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, playing Valencia. She can also be seen in Orange Is the New Black, Law & Order: SVU, and Sesame Street. She was most recently seen on Broadway in If/Then opposite Idina Menzel, Evita against Ricky Martin, and In The Heights opposite Lin-Manuel Miranda. Gabrielle is also well-known throughout the country for her performance as Diana Morales in the first national tour of A Chorus Line, which had been on the road for a year. Piece of My Heart, SkippyJon Jones as Rosalita, The Broadway Dolls and Speakeasy Moderne as herself, Girl One in Make Mine Manhattan for UnsungMusicals, and several new works are among her other New York productions. She is the voice of Vanessa in David DeSilva's and Father Fame Productions' Fame Forever Demo. Maria made her cinematic debut in the award-winning Sex, Love, and Salsa, for which she earned Best Supporting Actress at the RIFE Film Festival Awards. Kathy appeared in Company at the Bucks County Playhouse with Justin Guarini, Peggy Sawyer in 42nd Street at the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina, and Anita in West Story at the Ogunquit Playhouse. Gabrielle is from Edinburg, Texas (also known as the Rio Grande Valley), where she grew up and developed her major interest for dancing. Melba's School of Dance, where she studied under Melba Huber and Anne Bowling, was where she received her instruction. Gabrielle won a ballet scholarship to attend the Texas Association of Teachers of Dance summer convention to enhance her study. She began voice lessons at a young age and received classical training from the late David Custer of San Antonio, Texas. In 2002, she was named 2nd Chair for Second Soprano in the Texas All-­State Choir. Her ambitions of attending college were also supported by the STARS Scholarship Fund. Gabrielle earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance with honors from Oklahoma City University's Ann Lacy School of Dance and Arts Management in 2007. Gabrielle was a member of the American Spirit Dance Company, OCU Rhythms, many musicals (both acting and backstage), work-study, and the Delta-­Delta Chapter of Alpha Phi's Vice President of Chapter Operations and Chaplain. Gabrielle enjoys teaching people about the art of performance as well as performing herself. She has taught at Oklahoma City University's Broadway Bound Dance Intensive, The Hangar Theatre's Next Generation Summer Workshop, Diva Dance Company of New York, and in Connecticut, Staten Island, and Long Island. She has served as a judge and guest teacher for Access Broadway, Elite Dance Cup, and N.Y.L.A. dance contests. Gabrielle is still teaching and choreographing in New York City. She works hard to teach dancers all around the country how to be professional performers.
