Fritz Coleman is the popular weathercaster for NBC4 Southern California's NBC4 News at 5 p.m. and 11 p.m. He began working for NBC4 in 1982 as a weekend weathercaster and two years later moved to weekdays, where he has been a member of the station's longest-running nightly news team, with famous journalists Chuck Henry, Colleen Williams, and Fred Roggin.
He is a Southern California broadcasting legend known for his encyclopedic knowledge of meteorology, sense of humor, and pleasant demeanor. Fritz is a key member of the NBC4 Weather Team, which recently received two Los Angeles Area Emmy Awards for its programs, El Nino: Currents of Change and Running Dry: California's Historic Drought.
