Jacobus Francois Pienaar (born 2 January 1967) is a former rugby union player from South Africa. From 1993 to 1996, he was a flanker for South Africa (the Springboks), gaining 29 caps, including all of them as captain. He is most known for guiding South Africa to a World Cup triumph in 1995.
After being cut from the Springbok team in 1996, Pienaar moved on to play for Saracens in England.
