Kieran Hebden (born 1978 in London, England) is a post-rock and electronic artist who goes by the pseudonym Four Tet. Hebden rose to popularity as a member of the band Fridge before breaking out as a solo artist under the moniker Four Tet.
Hebden's work usually rejects the standard pop song format in favor of a more abstract approach, including elements of hip hop, electronica, techno, jazz, and folk music combined with live instruments. He went to Elliott School in London, where he and friends Adem Ilhan and Sam Jeffers founded the band Fridge.
