Fletcher Previn Biography

Fletcher Previn is IBM's Chief Information Officer. Fletcher’s focus as CIO is creating an agile culture to enable the innovation and pace of the best small technology companies with the scale of IBM. He has responsibility for delivering a productive IT environment to IBM’s 380000 worldwide employees as well as 130000 contractors and 100000 business partners. In his previous role Fletcher had responsibility for the desktop computing environment (Windows Mac Linux) the employee mobility program at IBM the IBM intranet and the Mac PC and Box@IBM programs.
Fletcher leads a global team of over 20000 employees including the corporate applications global infrastructure and mobile developers tasked with delivering IBM internal productivity apps.
Before joining the office of the CIO Fletcher led a development team in IBM Sales & Distribution building mobile tools for sellers.
Prior to joining IBM in 2006 Fletcher managed the Enterprise Systems Group at Walmart.com and was responsible for the tools and infrastructure used by the Site Operations and Engineering departments.
