After breaking out with their debut album Make Your Mama Proud in 1996, the Austin, Texas-based trio exploded onto the scene with their breakthrough album All the Pain Money Can Buy in 1998, joining the ranks of fellow artfully spun acts like The Wallflowers, Matthew Sweet, The Jayhawks, Cracker, and the Ryan Adams-fronted Whiskeytown.
