To become the first female Somalian president is Fadumo Dayib’s dream. She received many death threats but nothing will stop this mother of four from pursuing her dreams of running in the elections slated for 2016. She is the daughter of Somali parents and was born in Kenya.
She ended up in Finland as an infant with her family after being deported back to Somalia and forced to leave again when the civil war broke out. Up until age 14, she couldn’t read and write but earned herself masters degrees in public health and health care.
