Ernesto Talvi is a nonresident senior fellow at the Brookings Institution's Latin America Initiative and Global Economy and Development program. He is also the academic director of the Center for Economic and Social Affairs (CERES) in Montevideo, Uruguay, as well as a Tinker visiting professor at Columbia University in New York.
