Erin is a Sr. Research Scientist at Autodesk Inc. where she researches the future of computer-aided design and has managed user-experience teams across several of Autodesk’s engineering and design products. Her research currently focuses on generative design which applies computation to solve against the multiple often competing objectives that characterize today’s complex design and engineering projects.
Before Autodesk Erin consulted for start-ups in the 90s designing cloud storage and recommendation systems and she partnered on research in social computing with scientists at IBM Boeing and AT&T.Erin has also conducted numerous software ethnographies.
