Eric LeMarque is one of the most famous survivors in history who shares his experience inspiring others not to squander one precious moment of this life we’ve all been given. He is an international best-selling author an inspirational speaker an IT Director a former Olympian and professional ice hockey player.
Eric’s story recounts his survival stranded at an altitude of 11500’ in the frozen wilderness of the High Sierra Nevada Mountain Range for eight-days after a snowboarding adventure gone horribly wrong. The National Guard Rescuers’ titled him “The Miracle-Man” for managing to stay alive in sub-freezing temperatures with only a lightweight jacket and a thin wool hat.
During his struggle on the mountain without food and escaping wild animals he also overcame a methamphetamine addiction and found inner strength to fight for his life. Eric was Blessed with a second chance but something was ripped away from him forever. The elite athlete lost both of his legs to frostbite. Despite the painful episode one year to the date of his amputations Eric LeMarque snowboarded Mammoth Mountain with prosthetics.
