Eric Fischl is a painter and sculptor and the founder president and lead curator of America: Now and Here a nonprofit organization dedicated to sharing art with communities across the country through programs media and a traveling multi-disciplinary exhibition and event. Fischl’s paintings sculptures drawings and prints have been the subject of numerous solo and major group exhibitions. His work is represented in many prestigious private and corporate collections as well as museums including The Metropolitan Museum of Art the Whitney Museum of American Art and the Museum of Modern Art to name a few. Fischl has collaborated with other artists and authors including E. L. Doctorow Allen Ginsberg Jamaica Kincaid Jerry Saltz and Frederic Tuten. Fischl is a fellow at both the American Academy of Arts and Letters and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
