Eric Dickerson is a professional football running back who spent eleven seasons in the National Football League (NFL). Dickerson was an All-American college football player for the SMU Mustangs of Southern Methodist University.
He was drafted first overall in the 1983 NFL Draft and went on to play for the Los Angeles Rams, Indianapolis Colts, Los Angeles Raiders, and Atlanta Falcons. He ran for over 13,000 yards in the NFL throughout his career. In 1984, he established the NFL single-season running record of 2,105 yards.
