Eric Andre Allen (born November 22, 1965) is a former professional American football cornerback who played for the Philadelphia Eagles, New Orleans Saints, and Oakland Raiders in the National Football League (NFL) from 1988 to 2001. Allen, a six-time Pro Bowl selection, resigned from football following the 2001 season and now works for ESPN as an NFL commentator.
He has 54 interceptions for 827 yards and eight touchdowns in his NFL career, as well as seven fumble recoveries. He is tied for 21st in NFL history with 54 interceptions. Allen attended Arizona State University and was a member of the football team. The Philadelphia Eagles selected Allen in the second round of the 1988 NFL Draft.
