Eloy Ortiz Oakley is superintendent-president of Long Beach City College. He is best known for implementing innovative programs and policies that help students succeed in college.Under Oakley's leadership the Long Beach Community College District has received numerous awards for efforts to improve student completion rates and for teaching and supporting small Los Angeles-area business owners.In 2014 Gov.
Jerry Brown appointed Oakley to the University of California Board of Regents. Partnering with Goldman Sachs Oakley launched the 10000 Small Businesses Program which has taught more than 90 local business owners how to expand operations increase profits and create more jobs.
