Elisabeth Wehling is an author and political strategist based in the United States and Europe. She is pursuing a Ph.D. in Linguistics at the University of California, Berkeley, where she is studying how Americans and Europeans see politics. Wehling was born in the German city of Hamburg in 1981.
In Hamburg, Rome, and Berkeley, she studied sociology, journalism, communication psychology, and cognitive linguistics. Her doctorate study was in political cognition and moral judgment, and she received a Ph.D. in cognitive linguistics from the University of California in Berkeley. She's been a postdoctoral scholar at Berkeley's International Computer Science Institute since 2013.
