Elie Honig is an American attorney, former prosecutor, and prominent legal commentator. He serves as Senior Legal Analyst for CNN, providing clear, insightful analysis on major criminal cases, the Department of Justice, Supreme Court rulings, and high-profile investigations. Honig spent 14 years as a prosecutor, including more than eight years as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Southern District of New York, where he handled organized crime, public corruption, and violent cases. He later served as Director of the New Jersey Division of Criminal Justice (2012–2018). A bestselling author, his books include “Hatchet Man” (2021), “Untouchable” (2023), and “When You Come at the King” (2025).
