Edward Enninful is a British-Ghanaian fashion editor and stylist who transformed the industry. Discovered at 16 by stylist Simon Foxton, he began modeling and assisting at i-D magazine, becoming its youngest fashion director at 18, a role he held for 20 years. Enninful shaped Italian and American Vogue before becoming British Vogue's first Black editor-in-chief in 2017, succeeding Alexandra Shulman.
His tenure prioritized diversity, with groundbreaking covers, such as the all-Black September 2019 issue. In 2020, he became the European editorial director for Condé Nast. In 2023, he launched EE72, a global media company. An advocate for inclusivity, he critiques the fashion industry's retreat to Eurocentric ideals.
