Eddie Lewis is a retired American soccer player who represented Leeds United in the Football League Championship of England as a left midfielder. In the third round of the 1996 MLS College Draft, he was selected by the San Jose Clash. He'd stay in San Jose for the following four years, becoming a full-time starter in his second season. Initially a striker, the lefty switched to midfield early in his professional career. He scored nine goals and tallied 35 assists in 115 games for the Clash, and he was chosen to the MLS Best XI in 1999.
