Ed Wallace Biography

Ed was the Vice President of Business Development at Vertex for 20 years. The firm increased from $1 million to over $120 million during this time. He created The Relational Capital Group to help businesses and its professionals use his relationship-building ideas and the Relational Ladder® approach. With a client list that reads like a Who's Who of Fortune 500 businesses, he now advises and talks for corporations and groups all over the world. Ed has become critically acclaimed as the foremost authority on business relationships as he illustrates his relationship-building principles through real-life stories, examples, and insights gathered from his experience in three books on relational capital: Fares to Friends, Creating Relational Capital, and his most recent, Business Relationships That Last (Greenleaf, 2010). Ed is now on the faculty of Drexel University's LeBow College of Business Executive Education program and Villanova University's Human Resources Master's degree. He received his MBA as a Teaching Fellow at Drexel University, and he also holds a B.S. in Accounting (cum laude) from Villanova University and a Pennsylvania CPA license. He serves on a number of businesses and non-profit boards. Ed, his wife Laurie, and their two children live in the Philadelphia region.
