Jerry Ray Lucas is a memory specialist and former basketball player from the United States. Before shining as a professional player in the National Basketball Association, he was a nationally-awarded high school player, a national collegiate standout at Ohio State, and a 1960 gold medal Olympian and international player.
Lucas led the Ohio State Buckeyes to the 1960 collegiate national title and three consecutive NCAA finals as a freshman. He is the only player to win the Big Ten Player of the Year award three times, and he was also selected NCAA Player of the Year twice.
