Earl Klugh is a gifted acoustic guitarist who cites Chet Atkins as his greatest inspiration. When he was 15, Klugh played on a Yusef Lateef album, and in 1971, he was recognized for his contributions to George Benson's White Rabbit album.
In 1973, Klugh was a regular with George Benson, and in 1974, he was a member of Return to Forever for a short time. Klugh's solo career has been a success, with the publication of his CD Blue Note. One on One, his duet with pianist Bob James, received a Grammy in 1979.
