E. Glen Weyl is an American economist, social technologist, and political economist whose work focuses on using technology to foster cooperation, diversity, and equitable prosperity. He's the Research Lead of Microsoft Research's Plural Technology Collaboratory, Founder and Chair of the Plurality Institute, and the RadicalxChange Foundation, a nonprofit advancing democratic innovation through technology. Weyl also serves as a Senior Advisor to Harvard’s GETTING-Plurality Research Network.

Weyl graduated as valedictorian from Princeton University in 2007 and earned his PhD in economics there in 2008. He taught at the University of Chicago, Yale, Princeton, and Harvard and joined Microsoft Research in 2016, later leading Web3 technical strategy at Microsoft's Office of the CTO. His research spans economics, sociology, and computer science, addressing issues like industrial organization, public economics, and the intersection of technology and democracy. He co-invented Quadratic Voting and Quadratic Funding, mechanisms to enhance collective decision-making and resource allocation, which have been adopted globally by governments, companies, and Web3 ecosystems like Ethereum.
