Thuras has achieved three New York Times bestseller status through his co-authorship of Atlas Obscura: An Explorer’s Guide to the World’s Hidden Wonders, Gastro Obscura: A Food Adventurer’s Guide and The Atlas Obscura Explorer’s Guide for the World’s Most Adventurous Kid. His work appears in Slate and Newsweek and The Atlantic and Men’s Health and he has been interviewed on NPR by the CEO who praised his work as “Absolutely brilliant.”
